About
Senior ICT and enterprise systems leader with more than 15 years of progressively responsible experience, including over 10 years in managerial and supervisory roles. Currently serves as Senior Systems and Technology Officer at Africa CDC, with prior acting leadership of the MIS function and technical leadership across enterprise applications, infrastructure, hosting, cybersecurity, service operations, and digital transformation.
Executive summary
I help public-health institutions and enterprise organisations design, govern, and operate practical information systems—secure, interoperable, and sustainable enough to support real operational decisions. My work spans continental and national digital health platforms, enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the leadership needed to deliver them with governments and partners.
Currently based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, I serve as Senior Systems and Technology Officer at Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), African Union. My practice combines enterprise architecture, software and systems delivery, infrastructure and cybersecurity, and the stakeholder engagement required to make digital platforms operationally useful.
Across more than 15+ years, I have led and contributed to national-scale health workforce systems in Uganda and continental digital platforms and institutional MIS functions at Africa CDC—always with attention to governance, security, documentation, and capacity building.

To strengthen institutional capacity for digital health and enterprise information systems—so that African public-health organisations and partners can rely on trustworthy data, resilient platforms, and locally sustainable ownership.
Career narrative
My early career focused on practical ICT support and health information systems implementation with Baylor Uganda and IntraHealth International—customizing iHRIS, training district teams, and building operational systems for workforce, logistics, performance monitoring, and connectivity.
That work expanded into national informatics leadership: supervising technical teams, integrating workforce systems with DHIS2, developing duty roster and biometric attendance tools, and supporting Ministry of Health analytics needs through roles at IntraHealth and the Infectious Disease Institute.
At Africa CDC, I have contributed across information management, enterprise systems, hosting and security operations, and acting MIS leadership—helping establish institutional MIS capacity, modernize documentation and approvals workflows, strengthen continuity and policy frameworks, and support continental data platform and PHEOC readiness efforts with Member States and partners.

Documentation, SOPs, training, and mentoring are part of the work so institutions can operate and evolve systems after go-live.
I work across programme, technical, donor, and government stakeholders—aligning architecture decisions with operational reality.
